India and England have started their five-match Test series. In the first Test at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin claimed three wickets in the opening innings, bringing his total to 497 wickets. Ashwin's bowling was commended by Jadeja, who also forecast that Ashwin will take 500 wickets in the first Test.

Hyderabad: Ravindra Jadeja praised Ravichandran Ashwin, his best Test teammate. Additionally, Jadeja forecast that Ashwin would take 500 wickets in the opening Test match at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

In the first innings of the first Test match against England, Ashwin and Jadeja grabbed six wickets apiece to amass 504 wickets in Test cricket, smashing the previous best of 501 wickets held by Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh.

Our goal is to contribute significantly to the team's success by bowling with strong line and length. The seasoned spinner remarked, "I truly appreciate the competition between the two of us.

500 wickets are reached by Ashwin in the first match.

After taking three extra wickets in the first innings of the first Test match between India and England at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, R Ashwin becomes the second bowler from India to reach 500 wickets, behind Anil Kumble, while Ravindra Jadeja needs five more wickets to reach 300 Test wickets.
